Cars, Smart phones, TV’s, Korean BBQ. These are a few of the things South Korea is well-known for, with their technology being one of the most advanced in the world.  It’s time for South Korea to be acknowledged for something different for a change, and they are definitely on their way to a well-deserved recognition. Max Beer, made from The Hite (Korea’s biggest alcohol company), is proving that it is worthy of ‘standing’ next to some of the biggest competitors in the market.

Max Beer has won the Gold Medal from the 2011 Monde Selection Awards. Monde Selection, (world’s 3rd most renowned international institute for quality selections) was founded in 1961 in Brussels, the Capital of Belgium.  Every year, they test over 2450 products from 80 different countries in their respective categories.  Over a period of four months, a panel of highly qualified jury award the winners a bronze, silver, or gold award in 10~15 different categories.

Max Beer also won the Bronze Medal from the European Beer Star Awards in the ‘European Style Mild Lager’ category. The European Beer Star Awards is based on the taste and quality of all varieties of beer in their respective categories. Not only did Max Beer win 3rd place out of all the beers from 26 countries involved, but they also were recognized as the top 3 from a panel of highly respected experts—100 Top Brew Masters and Beer Sommeliers.

And to top it off? Max Beer received an entire dedication in the book, “1001 Beers You Must Try Before You Die.” A revolutionary, well-written book promising exactly what the title says: listing all the 1,001 beers a person must try before they die. Every beer fanatic’s dream come true.

Getting out of your comfort zone, and trying new things is part of life’s many experiences. It’s time to give your “go-to” beer a break and experience S. Korea’s refreshing MAX Beer. You won’t be disappointed.

Cheers.

Do you ever wonder what you’re breathing in every second of the day and how much?  The sky is so vast and open, it’s easy to presume that the air is clean. Think about it. Cars, factories, cigarettes, sewers, etc. All these things (and more!) emit horrible substances into our air.  Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

That’s why we need more eco-friendly charity organizations like Breathe LA.

 ATTIRE TO INSPIRE

Fashion, fun, fundraising. Breathe LA will be holding their second annual charity fashion show, 'Atiire to Inspire,' set to take place at the Conga Room at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles, Thursday, March 8th, 2012.

Breathe LA is an active non-profit organization committed to promoting and raising awareness of clean air and lung health in Los Angeles County.

The fundraiser supports the programs that mitigate environmental and smoking impacts to lung health, benefiting those suffering from asthma and COPD. Over 300 professionals, celebrities, and industry and community leaders will be attending this commendable fundraiser to show their support.

The designers featured in the fashion show are Yotam Solomon, Moods of Norway, and Vicarious By Nature (VBN).  Yotam Solomon is an acclaimed designer who is now famous for his environmental advocacy and elegant women’s clothing lines.   VBN is a men’s and women’s organic, eco-contemporary, clothing line that fosters the ideals of quality and style with a “naturally” conscious approach.  Eco-friendly; fashion forward.

Sponsored exclusively by Hite and Jinro, Breathe LA’s ‘Attire to Inspire’ fundraiser will have a cocktail hour and after party serving Hite Beer and Hite Black Stout Beer all night long. Included is also Jinro’s original cocktails: Jin-ger Spirit, Mystic Ruby, and Jinro on the Rock.

Breathe LA is active non-profit organization committed to promoting and raising awareness of clean air and lung health in Los Angeles County.

 Breathe LA:

  • Provides multi-cultural health awareness and wellness programs
  • Provides educational programs including environmental education and asthma control for children

[Video to the Left] Check out HITE MAN's Video Teaser for his first 'game' debut for the 2012 season.

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Baseball season is finally here for the Los Angeles Dodgers fans. That means, stadiums full of wild and enthusiastic fans, unlimited amounts of stadium food, and that sweet smell of dingy stadium and stale popcorn surrounding you. The best part: having an ice cold beer to wash down the infamous Dodger dogs.

There is no better way to start up the season than to welcome two new great partnerships for the Dodgers.

Upon welcoming the LA Dodger’s new owner, NBA Great, Magic Johnson, the LA Dodgers also welcome their new ‘rookie’ sensation, Hite Beer. Stepping up to the plate for the first time, Hite Beer will not ‘strike out’ in satisfying your thirst.

On April 9th, Dodger’s CRO (Chief Revenue Officer) Michael Young and Jinro America’s Mr. Min (CEO) and Mr. Kang (Chief of Marketing) held a press conference at the Dodger’s Stadium. Signing the contract in front of all the biggest Korean press in Los Angeles, the partnership was made official.

Hite Beer, Korea’s #1 selling beer, and the LA Dodgers have united together for the 2012 Season, giving the LA Dodgers a sure ‘home run’ hit for baseball fans and beer lovers everywhere.

The opening day for the LA Dodger’s home game and the first ‘pitch’ for Hite Beer sales will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.

Hite Jinro: Honoring the Unsung Heroes.

Superman saves the world from evil.  Batman saves Gotham City from the Joker, Mr. Freeze, and The Penguin. The X-Men team uses their powers for the benefit of humanity.

Comic-book superheroes have been around for decades, deeply rooted into our popular culture as saviors from the dangers of this world. Although completely fictional, it’s easy to fantasize that these characters are real, saving us from all things evil.

Now take away the cape, supernatural powers, and monster villains, and we’ve got our own real-life superheroes! Members of the law enforcement communities fight crime and strive daily to keep our world safe from evil. Although not the kind of ‘evil’ you would see in comic books, these heroes face tremendous danger, death, and despair. We need to show support and praise those who selflessly risk their lives for humankind.

To help support the law enforcement systems and members worldwide, the International Conference on Asian Organized Crime and Terrorism (ICAOCT) was created to provide a vehicle for these members to connect more on a professional and fraternal level.  Hosted by the International Organization of Asian Crime and Investigators Specialists (IOACIS), ICAOCT holds training and networking conferences to give these members the opportunity to create relationships worldwide built on a foundation of common accomplishments, skills, experiences, and choice of career.

On April 17-19th, ICAOCT held their 9th International Conference at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Honolulu, Hawaii.  Proudly sponsored by Hite Beer and Jinro Soju, over 400 exclusive guests and members attended the networking conference and award dinner, where they were recognized for their honorable and heroic accomplishments.  To help loosen up the vibe and create a welcoming and relaxed environment, Hite Jinro set up alcohol bars, giving the conference a casual and social atmosphere. Hite Jinro provided the drinks and held a tasting event with their very own Hite Jinro squad – Hite Beer, Jinro Soju, Bok Bun Ja (Rasberry) Wine, and Jinro original cocktails: Jinro on the Rocks and Kor Royale.

The conference featured topics related to Asian gangs, organized crime, and terrorism. Criminal Investigators and Specialists from all over the world had the opportunity to not only share information with others, but to also gain the knowledge from world renowned experts in their field.

This is Hite Jinro’s 4th sponsorship involvement, continually showing full support for those combating Asian Crime and Terrorism, and law enforcement communities.

Cheers to our superheroes.

Last year, Hite Jinro had a great opportunity to introduce and showcase their line of products to the East Coasters at the 2011 IWSB event, captivating the taste buds of many newcomers and leaving their imprint on the East Side as a high quality Korean Beer and Soju. Also new this year, Hite Jinro will be partnering up with Roy’s Restaurant, a famous upscale American Restaurant that specializes in Hawaiian and Asian Fusion Cuisine. Courtesy of Roy’s Restaurant, an exclusive Jinro cocktail will be served.  Named “Spiced Agave Cucumber,” the cocktail includes ingredients such as Jinro Chamisul Fresh Soju, lime juice, ginger agave nectar, and cucumbers.  Roy’s will also ‘marry’ their cocktails with an exclusive complementary dish, “Herb Truffle Ebi Roll,” to be served alongside the “Spiced Agave Cucumber” cocktail.

This is Hite Jinro’s 2nd Sponsorship with the IWSB convention.

For Chicago residents, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju is now available for sale (and online) at any Binny’s Beverage Depot in the major Illinois area.  Binny’s carries a huge selection of Jinro 24 Soju, Jinro Chamisul Fresh Soju, Bokbunja (Plum wine), Jinro Maehwasoo (Plum Soju), and Hite Beer.  Make sure to check out a Binny’s near you.

Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish Beer: 50th time is the charm.

Although beer is made up of 90% water, the remaining 10% is what sets them apart from other beers. That remaining 10% is what beer enthusiasts look for in good quality beer: mouth-feel, flavor, and finish.

Hite Beer definitely kept that in mind when creating their newest premium beer, Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish. It took 49 failed attempts before the perfect dry yeast was found, making Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish a one-of-a-kind dry beer. A masterpiece in beer craft, Hite ‘D’ has a unique and icy cool bite to it.  Although the word ‘dry’ may not sound appealing, the mouth-feel of the beer is very crisp and cool from the first sip to the last drop. The taste is light, clean, and flavorful with a dry, clean-cut finish.

It comes as no surprise that Hite Beer went to great lengths to create a dry beer that is definitely like no other beer in the world market. Since many wonder why Korean Beer is lighter and less dense compared to that of German or Japanese Beers, Hite ‘D’ was solely developed to be the best Dry Finish beer in the world market as well as compete against the best European and Japanese beers.  There is no question in mind that  “here in the U.S. Market, where every beer competes very seriously, Hite ‘D’ will not be beat by European and Japanese Companies,” said confidently and proudly Hite Beer/Jinro USA CEO, Min Byung Kyu, and Manager, Kevin Kang. They’ve definitely got the Awards to prove it.

So far, Hite Beer Company has beat hundreds of products and has won numerous Gold Medals from the Monde Selections for their beers: Hite, Hite Max, and now the newest Gold Medal winner, Hite ‘D!’  The Monde Selections is the world’s 3rd most renowned international institute for quality selections. Founded in 1961 in Brussels, the Capital of Belgium, they test over 2450 products from 80 countries in their respective categories.

Hite Beer is on top of their game and has definitely mastered the art of beer.  The new Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish Beer is ready to be showed off to the world market, and is the new premium beer that mustn’t be left on the shelves, but tasted at least once before you fall in love with it. You can find Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish on sale at your local Korean Markets.

It’s time to change out your go-to regular beers and upgrade to a premium one-of-a-kind refreshing Hite ‘D!’

The best part of the show was definitely also the biggest hit: the Jinro Cocktails! Special cocktails were sampled at the tradeshow, including the Soju Greyhound, Kor Royale, Orange Whiff, and the newest cocktail, Spiced Agave Cucumber.

East Coasters: Were you ready for us…again?  For the 2nd consecutive year, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju were proud sponsors of the East Coast’s largest tradeshow, the 13th Annual Bar and Restaurant Show. Located in New York at the Jacobs K. Javits Convention Center, the Bar and Restaurant Show was held on June 26-27, at 11AM-5PM.

Hite Beer and Jinro Soju were ready and excited now, more than ever, to be one of the partnering sponsors at the Bar and Restaurant Tradeshow. Last year, Hite and Jinro were a huge success, reaching over 4,500 attendees and creating more recognition and value for Korean alcohol in the East.

This year, along with the original Hite products (Hite, Max, Stout Beer) and Jinro products (Jinro Soju, Chamisul Original & Fresh, Bok Bun Ja Rasberyy wine, Mae Hwa Soo Plum wine), Hite Beer and Jinro were thrilled to leave an even bigger impression than last year by introducing their newest member to the  team, Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish Beer.  The dry finish beer has been perfected after 49 failed attempts at finding the perfect dry yeast to make it a clean-cut, smooth, and refreshing beer till the very last drop.

There is no better way to gain more acknowledgment for Korea’s #1 selling beer and distilled spirit than at the Bar and Restaurant Show. With thousands of restaurant and alcohol-related industry professionals that attended, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju greeted old fans as well as gained a new fan base with those who have
never heard of or tasted any products.

Hite Beer has also recently partnered up with the LA Dodgers and is now the first Korean beer every to be sold in the Dodger Stadium. Hite Beer: The New Dodger Beer

here is no better way to enjoy a baseball game then with a cold, fresh brew in one hand, and an unhealthy-but-so-irresistible concession food in the other hand. Baseball and beer is an undeniable pair that are made for each other; belonging together and complementing one another so perfectly that it should be considered a crime. Lately, a recent Korean trend, “chi-maek,” has been rising with beer as a ‘sport-watching’ drink associated with fried chicken. ‘Chi’ for chicken, and ‘maek’ for maek-ju (beer in Korean), Koreans definitely enjoy their beers with sports.

If you haven’t heard the big news yet, Hite Beer recently partnered up with LA Dodgers as the first Korean beer, let alone, first Asian beer to ever be sold in the Dodger Stadium. Consider it perfect timing for Hite Beer to launch of their exclusive new ‘Dodgers Limited Edition’ Hite Beer. To honor the Dodgers and their famous ‘Dodger Blue’ color, this new special edition is designed with a luxurious, metallic silver and Dodger blue logo with the silhouette of a dynamic MLB player. Elegant and eye-catching, the new Hite Beer design will hopefully capture the attention and hearts of beer lovers and baseball lovers alike!

Hite Beer debuted the new design at this year’s ‘Korea Night’ @ the Dodger Stadium, August 4th, 2012. In celebration of ‘Korea Night,’ Hite Beer also held a taste sampling (field and reserve level), Facebook contest giveaways, and $5 Hite Beer coupons.

Not only is the Hite Beer and LA Dodger partnership a huge accomplishment for Hite Beer, it also gives the Korean communities a sense of pride to see a Korean beer associated with a popular MLB team, since baseball is a well-loved sport for Koreans. The new Hite Beer and Dodger partnership billboard is also up and visible in the heart of Koreatown, Los Angeles, at the Wilshire Blvd. and Vermont Ave. Intersection.

One year later, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju reunited with the UCLA Women’s Golf Team, and helped sponsor the UCLA Bruin 18 Women’s Golf Invitational. From tee time to dinner, team members and guests had the chance to play a relaxing round of shotgun golf, with some refreshing beverages!

The Fundraising Golf Invitational was held on September 17th, 2012 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

For years, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju has been  supporting the UCLA’s #1 Ranked Women’s Golf team!  As the main beverage and gift donation sponsor, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju provided a tasting booth at the golf club and players refreshed and reenergized themselves with samples of  Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish Beer, and Hite Max Beer. Of course unlimited Jinro ‘Seok Su’ water was provided for players, as well.

After the rounds of golf, players and guests enjoyed a dinner and award ceremony, silent auction, and gift bags! As gift donation sponsors, Hite Jinro include a Hite cooler bag filled with 2 Hite ‘D’ Beer cans, 2 Hite ‘Dodger Edition’ Beer cans, 2 Max 100% Malt beer cans, 1 Jinro Pack Soju (soju in convenient to-go packs), and a Jinro Soju Cocktail book.

Hite Beer and Jinro Soju were a huge success and ‘hole-in-one’ at the Fundraising Golf Invitational. Until next year, thank you UCLA Bruin Women’s Golf Team!
